What is a One Year Old?
A one-year-old boy
is so many things
a tiny discoverer of butterfly wings,
a hugger of teddies,
a sweet sleepyhead,
and someone to dream for
in bright years ahead
A special new person who,
right from the start,
has a place in the family
and, of course, in your heart.
And, just when you think
that you’ve learned all the things
that your dear boy is
and the joy that he brings,
a hug or a grin
comes with such sweet surprise
that love finds you smiling
with tears in your eyes!
From a teenie little preemie....
To a chubby little toddler in only 12 months! So amazing to me what a difference a year makes. I remember crying in the doctor's office with Megan when Coleman was 10 days old because he wasn't gaining weight and look at him now!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY COLEMAN RUSSELL!
GRAMMY LOVES YOU SO MUCH....

Thanksgiving
I was really missing my family today but I still had a very nice Thanksgiving. Thanks to the Wilkins and Patrick families. They shared their wonderful meal & great company with me. Everything was so delicious. Melissa did a great job with the turkey and Eric's pumpkin roll was so yummy. It was nice to spend time with all of their cute kids too!

The BIG 3 - 0!!
Today is Megan's 30th Birthday! I can hardly believe it - where has the time gone? It seems like only yesterday I was holding this little peanut and marveling at how beautiful and precious she was. She was five weeks early and weighed only 5 pounds 4 ounces and was 18 inches long. Little did I know on November 17, 1979 that I had such an incredible daughter in my arms. She has brought me so much joy and so much love over the years. She is a wonderful example of a strong confident woman and a fantastic Mom and wife. She has given me the most beautiful grandsons in the whole world! I love you so much, Megan and I hope you have a WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY. You are the only Princess in your home and I hope your boys will treat you like one today! I only wish I was with you to share your birthday like I was 30 years ago!

NOVEMBER BRINGS............
Birthdays - Beginning of the Christmas Season - A Time for Gratitude...
A couple of years ago I started a Gratitude Journal that I update every month with things I am grateful for. I have so much to be thankful for and since Thanksgiving is upon us here are a few thoughts:
I am so thankful for 3 of my favorite people who will be celebrating birthdays this month - My daughter-in-law, Kristine (13th), my #2 daughter Megan (17th), and my youngest grandson, Coleman (28th)
I am so thankful that I was able to go to Vegas last week and visit my cute, funny, happy little grandsons. Here are a few things we did while I was there.
