Bad Habits:

I have a few of those and I really wish I could break them, but I am thinking you can't teach an old dog new tricks. Or can you??

Habit #1 - Drinking Diet Pepsi (I switched about a year ago from my long time habit of Diet Coke and I also switched from a 32 oz a day of fountain soda to 1-2 cans) I guess I have cut back so that is a good thing, right?

Habit #2 - Nail biting. This was brought to my attention by my dil, Kristine. She detests that Jordan bites his nails. I have to tell you Kristine, it is a generational thing. My Dad did it, I do it and now Jordan. Funny it is only one person in each family, but it is probably the most fidgety, nervous one! Just so you know more than likely one of your little Lewis' will inherit this awful habit. (more than likely a son since in my research on the subject boys are more likely to bite their nails than girls & most stop the habit before age 30) I would give anything to break this habit. Any ideas besides the nasty tasting junk you put on your nails?

Habit #3 - Candy. Why do I love junky candy so much. I don't really care for expensive chocolates. I like things like red licorice, Dots, Good & Plenty, Tootsie Rolls, Circus Peanuts and Candy Corn. Pure sugar!! Yuck, but I can't help myself. I need to stay out of the Dollar Store!!

Habit #4 - Reality TV. I am totally addicted to this trashy stuff. You name it and I watch it. I am too embarrassed to name them all for fear you might think I need an intervention!

This morning as I was driving to work and heading in the left turn lane on Howe & Hurley the light turned red. Well, the guy in front of me went through it and a light flashed. I had never seen this before and I am pretty sure he/she got busted for running the red light. The flash was the camera above the signal light! The light was not just red it was bright RED and he/she had more than enough time to stop. (The car in front of him went when it was yellow turning red.)

I am getting my hair cut on Tuesday. I am a little nervous. I have decided to go shorter. I have had this same obnoxious bob for years and I am just sick of it. I want something different and more age appropriate. I hope I don't regret it. I don't expect to look like Lisa Rinna but I hope I get something close to this haircut.

Go see Toy Story 3! It is excellent. I loved it and so did my whole entourage of Patricks & Wilkins. Very good movie!

  1. Jordan is getting over his habit! I told him last Sunday that if he stopped for 30 days, he could go golfing at a really nice golf course. And he hasn't bitten them since! I am surprised that he has done so well. He even went out and bought some of the nasty tasting stuff. We are working on breaking this habit!
