Megan and I had a whirlwind spur of the moment adventure to Baltimore to visit Erin. We really loved spending time with her and it was a trip we should have taken long ago. I am looking forward to going back when we can spend a longer time there seeing more of Washington DC and traveling to New York. We made the best of the short time we had there and were able to see some sights in DC. It's only a short 30 minute train ride from Baltimore so we just had to go. I loved it!! I have always wanted to go there since I love American history so much. It did not disappoint. It is beautiful and clean and there is so much history. I walked around in awe most of the time. We had dinner at a very old, historic restaurants called the Emmits Grille that is frequented by dignitaries and many past presidents and also went to the top of the Washington Hotel overlooking the entire city with a view of the Capitol and the White House. It was all very exciting! We saw a couple of motorcades with lots of Secret Service. Not sure who was in the limos but it was exciting just to see it.

We ate at this cute little cafe, The Blue Moon in Fells Point in Baltimore. They have been featured on the Food Network and are famous for their Captain Crunch french toast that Megan ordered. |
