Pre Wedding/Family Time

Lots of family time was spent together getting ready for Shauna and Iain's wedding.  It was a very busy, crazy, stressful week but it was so fun having everyone together

Iain and Deacon bonding time.  Deacon is such a happy boy.

There was lots of cousin time.  It was so hot that the boys had to spend most of the time indoors watching movies, playing video games, legos and whatever it is little boys like to do.  Jack holding Deacon, Owen, Coleman, Lincoln holding Ames

Over 300 flowers were made out of crepe paper, butcher paper and coffee filters.  My good friends came over one day and stayed until 10 pm helping cut, gather, glue and make the flowers.

We took time out to have a nice dinner at the Fountains in Roseville and then spent the rest of the evening at Dave & Busters

Lincoln and Owen playing a little baseball
Jordan hanging out with baby Ames
Boys watching TV - probably Lego Movie or Sponge Bob
Owen couldn't get enough of baby Deacon

We took some time out to cool off at my pool.  It was 105+ everyday!

Another Handsome Boy!!

Ames Kevin Lewis
May 2, 2014
6 lbs 10 oz

Another handsome boy has arrived!  Jordan and Kristine gave me another grandson.  Baby Ames is perfect and so precious and just as cute and sweet as his brother and cousins who have come before him.  I'm a very lucky and blessed Grammy!

It was a very exciting and eventful time and I loved every minute of the time I got to spend with this special family in Maryland.  Owen just melts my heart with his adorable personality and I'm sure his baby brother will be just as fun and cute.  Here are a few pictures (not in order) to document this great event.....  Life is so good when you are surrounded with cute little boys to love!
Aunt Erin came to visit and see the new baby and play with Owen.  It was a fun day and I'm so glad I got to see her while I was there.  As you can tell Owen was thrilled!

I was so glad I got to be there and experience the first time Owen met his baby brother.  He was so excited and proud and loves his brother soooo much.  They are going to have so much fun together in a few months.

Thank you Jordan and Kristine for letting me come and experience this wonderful time in your lives!

This picture was taken before Ames arrived as you can tell by Kristine's belly.  We were just killing time at McDonalds waiting for the little guy to arrive and of course I was getting my Diet Coke fix.

This was taken the day I left.  I was so sad to leave these little guys.  The next time I see them will be August and Owen will be 3 and Ames 3 months!

These pictures were before the posed picture.  Owen loves to poke, touch, kiss, and hug his little brother!  These are definitely candid shots and catch Owen in his true form.

Checking out the toy aisle at Wal-Mart while Mom shopped.

Owen and I took lots of walks and spent lots of time at the park!  He kept me very busy and active.  We ate lots of popsicles, blew lots of bubbles, did lots of swinging and chasing at the park and just had such a good time together playing with lots of hugs and kisses.  How I miss this little boy

Lots of love going on here!

NEW GRANDSON!

Deacon Matthew Patrick
March 19, 2014
6 lbs 4 oz - 19 in

Since he was 3 1/2 weeks early he had to stay in the Nursery.  It was hard not being able to be with him and hold him.  By the third day he was taking a bottle and things were looking up.  By the 4th day he was nursing and was able to go home on the 5th day.  He is a precious little sweetheart that is loved so much!

Megan is surrounded by handsome boys!

There is nothing more precious than a brand new baby... it's amazing how instant the love is!
This Grammy is so in love with this sweet little angel.  Can't get enough of him!!

His big brothers sure love him!

Maryland trip

I was so happy to go to Maryland and visit some of my favorite people!  Despite the freezing weather and snow, I had a fantastic time.  It is so beautiful there with so much history.  There is still so much more I want to see and do and can't wait to go back!  Thanks Jordan, Kristine and Erin for making my trip so memorable.  Especially thanks to Owen for being so adorable and fun!

I was welcomed at the Baltimore Airport by these two handsome boys!  They made the long trip well worth it.

Jordan and Kristine live near the beautiful town of Frederick.  There was lots of snow on the ground so I'm excited to go back when the town looks like this!  So many quaint little shops.  Everything is very historical, which I love!

Air and Space Museum in  Washington DC
Dinner at the famous Shake Shack in downtown DC for yummy burgers and shakes

Our last stop was to Georgetown where we waited in line at Georgetown Cupcakes where the TLC show, DC Cupcakes was filmed.  Very cute town and the cupcakes were delish!

Owen playing with the Bat Cave Aunt Megan sent him from his cousins, Jack, Lincoln and Coleman.  He loved it!

Having fun hanging out at home with the ever crazy Owen!  Top right picture is dinner at one of my favorites, CafĂ© Rio in Frederick.

More fun at home!

Thanks to Kristine I was able to visit Gettysburg, PA, a place I have always wanted to go.  It is only 40 minutes from Frederick and such a beautiful drive there and the movie and museum were great.  Kristine and Owen both endured my obsession with American history and followed me around while I enjoyed every minute.  On the way home we drove through the town of Gettysburg which is so beautiful and restored to its original state.  It was a journey back in time for me.  Civil War history is so fascinating.  We scored too at the outlet mall outside of Gettysburg at the Old Navy outlet!   It amazes me that you can drive from state to state in such little time.

It was a special treat to be able to spend time with Erin in Baltimore. We had lunch one day and were able to see her nice new house and of course the pugs.   What a treat to be able to spend my last night in Baltimore at the restaurant where she works and have her as our server!  She set us up in a private room and served us appetizers, delicious main course of mouthwatering steak and cheese cake for dessert.  We were definitely spoiled!

I'm looking forward to another trip back there in the spring to see more sites and especially to see the newest member of the Lewis family!  Can't wait....
