November Election

Stop it! ENOUGH!! I have had it....I say no more politics, no more nasty commercials. Stop calling me. Stop writing me.... I am finished, I no longer care....and by the way your stuff is so bad that every time I watch one of your commercials I want to scream.

I am tired of every commercial, from every politician. I want Sarah Palin to stop talking, I want Nancy Pelosi to stop talking. I am tired of all of it. I don't care about witches, or college pranks or who hired an illegal or what they had for dinner.

Persuade me to vote for you. Treat me like I have a brain. Respect me! Stop the mudslinging and start talking about the issues that will change things and make things better for everyone.

You want me to vote for you? Tell me how you will create some jobs, real jobs. America is an amazing place. We are the first ones to help in a crisis, we are innovative, smart and self reliant. We can get back to those days of inventing things, starting businesses, manufacturing things and depending on ourselves. Give me some hope. Remind me how great we are... Remind me of building cars, computers and walking on the moon.

I am an American...I love saying that, I love living here, I love our freedom, I love being able to attend the church I want to, read what I want to and say what I want to.

Politicians just fight, argue, call each other names...And all of the ugly ads? How do I know if they are true? If you are low enough to say those things, aren't you low enough to just make it up?

So do you get it? I don't care any more, no one does... So stop it. You are wasting money, time, resources and talent.

I can't wait for November 3rd to get here so my phone will stop ringing off the hook and interrupting all my important TV shows and I want my old mailbox back - the one that is filled with bills and catologues. There really is life after the election and I can't wait to start living it!

CALLING ALL GIRLS!

If you had your choice for a girl's trip - What would you choose??

A Mexican or Caribbean Cruise?

A trip to the Big Apple?

Or laying on the beach in Hawaii?

I'm just putting it out there so think about it, okay?

dr laura call 9-20-10

I am not Dr Laura's biggest fan but I really liked what she had to say to this young lady. She was very upfront and honest with her and even though she is not a member of my faith, I feel like she was clear and precise about her feelings. Listen and see what you think...

Advantages of Getting Older

I always thought that getting older was a bad thing, but I am starting to re-evaluate my thoughts on that....
Last night, Shauna and I went to see the movie, 'You Again".

I proudly announced at the ticket booth, "One senior for 'You Again'. I got my movie ticket for $7.00 people. That is a $3.00 less than a regular ticket! Maybe getting older is not so bad.........
I can't do anything about the wrinkles, scaly skin or age spots, but.... I can get a cheaper movie ticket!!

Las Vegas

Shauna and I decided to take a long weekend and go to Vegas to spend time with Megan and her family. Despite the nine hour drive, we had a great time. It is always fun to hang out with three cute little boys who make me laugh and entertain me constantly. They are so much fun!

Here they are in their cute little Star Wars shirts Shauna bought them on our shopping spree to Target.

I took Jack and Lincoln to see Alpha and Omega on Saturday. It was a cute movie and we had a great time eating popcorn and candy and laughing at the funny wolves. Why do kids like ring pops? I told the boys they could have any candy they wanted and they picked ring pops?? My kids used to do that too. Must be genetic!

We kept entertained with the photo booth on Shauna's computer. The boys loved it and couldn't stop laughing at themselves. Lincoln was pretty freaked out at first and wanted us to stop, but he finally came around and joined in on the fun.

Oh and I might add that my sweet, darling daughters are very honest with their Mom. Here is what I learned about myself while I was there:
I have a mullet (I had Megan's friend Kiley fix that)
I look my age - OLD (Thanks Megs)
I sigh and moan a lot
I snore really loud. (I already knew that one but Shauna likes to keep reminding me)
I am obsessed with my weight
I sing in vibrato
(The things we learn from our kids!! I still love them even though they are brutally honest with me... )
Thanks for a great time and thanks to Justin for putting up with all our giggling, crazy TV shows and girl time!
